Signi Search Dogs – under the inspiring leadership of Esther van Neerbos and Janette Kruit – is a non-profit foundation which primary purpose it is to track missing people (dead or alive) by using search dogs and professional diving-, sonar, marine and ground/site investigation teams.
Since 2004, the foundation and its dogs have been searching weekly for missing persons in a wide variety of circumstances. This intensive deployment not only demands the utmost of the dogs, but also of Signi’s team of 50 volunteers. The foundation is unique in its commitment, performance, perseverance, altruism and professionalism.
In addition to the search operations in the Netherlands, Signi Search Dogs has used its expertise in various international disaster areas. For example: the deployment during the Tsunami in Japan and the earthquake in the Philippines.
The work of Signi Search Dogs focuses on one central mission: to find missing persons and to end the uncertainty for the people staying behind in missing person cases.
